Black Corries Lodge is Situated in a remote and secluded position at the foothills of Glencoe as they meet the vast expanse of Rannoch Moor. Enjoying uninterrupted views out over the last great glacial plateau it has in the past been dubbed as ‘The loneliest house in Scotland’, due to its secluded appearance upon approach. Set upon the watershed of Scotland where the Burns literally run east toward the River Tay, and West toward the River Etive. The building has been fully renovated in recent years and can offer the weary Fisherman, Sportsman or Hillwalker a warm and comfortable base from which to explore the Estate comfortable for up to 12 guests with an additional Cook’s annex.
There are 2 twin and super king rooms and a bunk bed room, all featuring a vanity unit and wash hand basin. On the lower level there is one double room and one en-suite super king room. Some of the twin rooms can be made up as doubles if required, please enquire for further information. There are 5 shared bathrooms featuring a mix of showers and luxurious deep baths. Bedding and towels are also included.
In the cosy lounge, you will find a stunning bay window, taking in the dramatic views of Rannoch Moor. Firewood is provided for the large open fires found in the lounge and dining room. There is a fully equipped kitchen and large utility, including 2 dishwashers, washing machine and tumble dryer. The lodge is centrally heated, with instant 24 hr hot water and magnificent water pressure. There is a fully functional drying room next to the well-equipped rod and gun room. There is also a full size billiard table in the games room. There are currently no televisions in the lodge, but we have free unlimited WIFI throughout most of the building. We will engineer your stay with us to suit your requirements. Basic housekeeping is included in the rental and cooks/chefs and even pipers can also be arranged* to make your stay with us a truly bespoke and memorable experience just for you.
Food
Famed for its produce, the West Coast of Scotland is the home of fresh seafood. Local butchers, grocers and other local suppliers can be provided upon request. More than one whisky distilleries are located locally, and tours can be arranged.
